Transformers that are no longer useful for economic or technical reasons remain your environmental and legal responsibility. Why increase the risk of fire, leakage, health and environmental hazards by keeping a transformer that is no longer useful?

Mineral oils found in electrical equipment are highly flammable, while PCB oil found in transformers is carcinogenic and damaging to the environment. The Law on Hazardous Waste regulates the management of such waste.

As a producer of waste you are legally bound to identify the type of waste and provide disposal or, in the case of PCB, decontamination of any transformers you own.

Act like an environmentally responsible company while freeing up storage space. Let us worry about unusable oil transformers and coils.

Let us take responsibility for the disposal of your hazardous waste.

How We Treat Old Transformers

We provide low-cost transport and recycling of old transformers, with all necessary transport permits (including oversized cargo) and treatment.

We disassemble, sort and clean oil transformers and process recyclable components, thus returning secondary raw materials into the production process while repurposing mineral oil without PCB content for use as fuel. The sorting of waste into components allows us to manage each component as a resource. Aluminium, steel, copper and similar substances are recycled, oils are used as fuel, while the rest is managed in accordance with the law and the highest standards.

Our procedures and instructions can simply be integrated into your own quality management, environmental protection and occupational health and safety systems.

Fire Hazards Caused by Hazardous Substances

Transformer oil has properties that provide insulation and cooling effects, but that also make it highly flammable and easily combustible. Responsible handling of transformers involves being prepared in case of accidents. An unused transformer increases the risk of fire, leakage, and environmental and health hazards.

On 20 June 2006 parts of the town of Užice were engulfed in flames when a transformer station caught fire due to high outside temperatures. In addition to the fire, 70,000 citizens of Užice were also faced with a resulting electricity and water shortage.
