Vuk Karadžić Award
In the Assembly Hall of the office of the President of the Republic of Serbia, "Vukova nagrada" ("Vuk Karadžić Award") was awarded for the 51st time by the Cultural and Educational Community of Serbia.
The company Miteco Kneževac has had the honor for the first time to be the principal donor of the 51st "Vukova nagrada" ("Vuk Karadžić Award") which is awarded for exceptional creative results achieved in promoting culture, education and science in the Republic of Serbia.
Recipients of the special "Vukova nagrada" ("Vuk Karadžić Award") for 2014 were: Prof.Dr. Mihajlo Mitrović, architect; Prof.Dr Darko Tanasković, philologist, and the company "Mona".
While recipients of "Vukova nagrada" ("Vuk Karadžić Award") were: Boško Vujačić, folk gusle player; Srboljub Ignjatović, writer; Jovan Kolundžija, violinist; Bosiljka Rosić, ethnologist; Prof. Slavenko Saletović, director; Prof.Dr. Dragan Stanić, writer; Dragan Stojkov, painter; Prof.Dr. Nice Fracile, ethnomusicologist; Žarko Čigoja, publisher, and the primary school "Kralj Milutin" from Gračanica.
Miodrag Mitrović, President of the company Miteco, was not able to attend the ceremony, therefore, the letter of appreciation was read by Ivana Mirković, Head of Finance and Administration Department: "It is my great honor to greet and congratulate on behalf of the company Miteco all the recipients of the award. The company Miteco wishes to express its gratitude for being given the chance to support this manifestation which is of great importance for the cultural identity of our country, and which, for over half a century, is responsible for awarding recognition for exceptional creative results achieved in promoting culture, education and science.
