Slobodan is a research physicist by education, but he is professionally engaged in writing and science journalism. He has made a great contribution to the popularization of science through his specific narrative approach, which has defined him as one of a few authors in the genre of popular science studies. He was the coordinator of the sector for press, internet and video production at the Center for the Promotion of Science, he started a well-known series of popular science forums which for years has been bringing together Belgrade audiences in the Main Hall of SKC (Student’s Cultural Center).

He is the head of communications at the Institute of Physics in Belgrade and the media coordinator of CERN in Serbia. He is the editor and co-founder of the "Science through Stories" initiative. Since 2003, he has been a journalist for the weekly "Vreme", and he also writes for the daily "Politika", "National Geographic" Serbia, the portal "B92" and other media.

He is the author of numerous radio dramas and stories, some of which have earned him literary awards. He is a member of the Serbian Literary Society.
