The Company Miteco is this year's recipient of the special charter award of the 44th "Golden Link", awarded by the jury of the Cultural and Educational Community of Belgrade.

Miteco was awarded for outstanding contribution to ecology and culture. Addressing the recipients of the award and guests was Ivana Mirković, Head of Finance and Accounting:
"For several decades now, through its socially responsible activities, Miteco has been supporting initiatives that are exceptionally significant for the cultural, educational and scientific creative activities in our capital and country. I am extremely honored to accept this significant award for the contribution to the culture of our capital city which is the highest annual award present by the Cultural and Educational Community of Belgrade. The Company Miteco wishes to express gratitude for being included in the group of significant contributors to the development of the cultural identity of Belgrade, and who, through their creative work, contribute to the spreading of culture, education and science. I wish to thank once again the organizers of this event for recognizing and awarding this''.
"The Outstanding Golden Link" for lifetime achievement, an award presented by the Cultural and Educational Community of Belgrade, was awarded to ancient historian M.Sc. Bojana Borić Brešković, cultural sociologist Ph.D. Miloš Nemanjić and actor and director Ljubiša Samardžić. The award was presented in a ceremony held on the Main Stage of the National Theater in Belgrade.
"The Outstanding Golden Link" was also awarded to the Belgrade Business School, Children's Cultural Center and Literary Gazette. Awarded also were the aphorist, writer and journalist Dragutin Minić Karlo, electronic media manager Željko Mitrović, publisher and artist Mirko Mrkić Ostroški, conductor Milovan Pančić, songwriter Leontina Pat, actor and pedagogue Dragan Petrović Pele, theatrologist, journalist and editor M.Sc. Nenad J. Ristić, composer Zoran Simjanović, children's poet Slobodan Stanišić and publicist and journalist Stanko Stojiljković. The "Golden Link" was awarded to cultural worker Dragoslav Agatonović, painter and iconographer Miodrag D. Jelić, songwriter Željko Joksimović, professor of physical medicine Dr. Milica Lazović, production designer Boris Maksimović, the International Slavic Center.
The "Golden Link" is awarded annually for a lasting contribution to culture in Belgrade, and the Cultural and Educational Community of Belgrade has been presenting the award since 1970 to artists, creative individuals, scientists, ensembles, organizations and institutions for their lasting contribution to the culture of Belgrade. Originator of the award was the poet Vasko Popa, who was the one who came up with the name for the award, Radomir Stević Ras and Jevta Jevtović.
