Company Miteco has taken over the complete amount of hazardous waste from the company ″Prahovo salt″ in bankruptcy. Trucks of the prazilin waste, pesticides with the expired shelf life, are taken away directly from the location where it was situated, with the previously prescribed packaging and labelling. This waste is then permanently disposed in one of the EU countries such as Austria, Germany and Switzerland.

The importance of this project is reflected in the fact that, in addition to Prahovo, many companies throughout Serbia have used hazardous materials during production. Sulfuric acid, sodium hydroxide, cyanide salts, ammonia, nitric acid, pesticides and many other hazardous materials, due to the lack of funds of such companies to destroy them, are often stored and kept in an unsafe manner. Services provided by Miteco, among others, include solving problems of such companies in bankruptcy that contain a large amount of historical waste.
Prazilin is a herbicide that contains a carcinogenic compound nitrofen. This pesticide was imported from Germany in 1991, but due to its properties, has ceased to be used. Any use of the pesticides brings the negative consequences on the ecosystem in which it is applied, as well as on the surrounding ecosystems. One of the foundations of sustainable agriculture and sustainable development is the reduction of pesticide use.
